Personalized dog training for lasting obedience and joyful companionship.
In 2020, I earned my certification as a dog handler and trainer from AK9I in Virginia. Over the years, I have trained my own medical service dog as well as numerous others.
I view dog training as both a skill and an art β involving the dog, the owner, the trainer, the desired tasks, and the challenges of everyday life. My goal is to make the training process easier for you by coaching both you and your dog to work as a strong, confident team. I use a balanced training approach that incorporates both positive and negative reinforcement.
When asked how long training takes, my answer is simple: βYESβ β because training is an ongoing process. My aim is to βwork myself out of a jobβ by giving you the tools to handle your dog independently. If preferred, I can also train your dog directly without your involvement.
If you need a dependable dog-and-odor worker, I can prepare a trained dog within 2β3 months or work with one of your own to meet operational needs. I can also serve as a decoy, aggressor, handler, or odor/aggression trainer tailored to your preferred style.
I pride myself on understanding each dog individually and collaborating with others in the field.
